The origin of the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Centerpoint can be traced back to the initiative of Immediate Past President Mary Ann G Valentino, Emmanuel G Henorga, and Alexander Dumayag Jr. It all began when IPP Mary Ann G Valentino reached out to NCA PP Virgilio J Valenzuela to inquire about the process of establishing a charter club. Their initial contact was a simple phone call, and they subsequently arranged a face-to-face meeting to discuss the requirements for creating such a club. The first meeting took place on July 20, 2023, at Shin Yu Restaurant in Tabang, City of Malolos, Bulacan. During this meeting, they deliberated on the motivations behind forming a charter club and the necessary prerequisites. Another meeting was scheduled for July 28, 2023, where they intended to meet and greet prospective members. In this subsequent meeting, the discussions covered various topics, including the history of Rotary, the RI President, and the District Governor of D3770, as well as the roles and responsibilities of being a Rotarian. Following these deliberations, there was a conversation about potential names for the club. Initially, it was called the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Supreme, but it was later changed to the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Centerpoint. With guidance from NCA Virgilio Valenzuela, the members brainstormed ideas for the club’s name. The word “Centerpoint,” suggested by Rtn Gerardina R. Banasig, ultimately led to the club being named the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Centerpoint. Club of Guiguinto Centerpoint History of RCGC Over the course of four consecutive meetings held every Friday from July 28 to August 25, the charter members of the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Centerpoint voted to elect and select the club’s charter President, Secretary, President-Elect, President-Nominee, and club directors. Emmanuel G. Henorga was elected as the Charter President for the Rotary Year 2023-2024, with Alexander U. Dumayag Jr. as President-Elect, and Mary Ann G. Valentino as President-Nominee. With the positive response of potential members invited to join the formation of a new club, the road to its destiny of becoming a charter club is undoubtfully clear, this further fuels the desire of the founders to pursue the task toward its final realization. Subsequently, the club’s officers and roster were forwarded via email to Rotary International, along with the required payment for the SAR and magazine. Within a week, the club received the exciting news of congratulations for becoming the new charter club of D3770. This achievement brought joy to everyone involved, and the club expressed gratitude to District Governor Rodolfo Enriquez, PDGN Alexander Santos, the sponsor clubs Rotary Club of Barasoain and Rotary Club of Bulacan, and especially to the dedicated efforts and kindness of NCA PP Virgilio J Valenzuela
